Totally discouraged, I called NYP and spoke to Fiaz - - what a helpful and pleasant phone manner. He put me at ease right away and within 15 minutes (!), he had Ahmed come over to see how they could help.

Ahmed was very kind, breaking the bad news to me gently. Nothing was salvageable and the entire area had to be ripped out and redone properly. I was concerned at that point, having already sunk money into the existing disaster and not knowing I could afford to have them finish the job correctly. But Ahmed's authentic demeanor earned my trust quickly (not an easy task where I'm concerned, mind you) and the very next day, he came to me with an extremely fair quote that was manageable.

As a small business owner myself, I have higher standards than most when hiring (and I'm from the school of "the customer is always right"). There are critical components that make for a truly good business, like honesty, dependability, timeliness, communication, and Ahmed nailed every single one. He was clear, thorough, 100% professional and delivered on everything he promised, AND did it within my specified time frame. My project is finally complete and I couldn't be happier.

As it turns out, the old saying is true: the third time really is the charm, all thanks to New York Pavers. I can't speak highly enough of them and you should feel 100% confident in hiring them.

And it went well!

Overall it was a great experience, because Ahmed and team:
- Responded quickly during the process of getting approvals from my co-op building
- Scheduled us in same-week once we got approval! Also called our super to help make sure we could proceed
- Accurately estimated how long the project would take
- Gave us realistic heads up on what the work would be like and communicated well about one surprise (concrete) that came up during the project

Our patio now drains well and looks so nice! We're grateful to NY PAvers and Ahmed for making this happen, especially on a tight timeline before we had family visit!

Fiaz Ahmed showed up on time, texting beforehand and walking us through example pavers and taking photos for an estimate. We talked through different approaches for drainage and garden space. Two weeks later we had a new backyard.

These guys went above and beyond to make sure materials were delivered to our sidewalk even though parking in our neighborhood is very tight. They showed up promptly to start the work day and moved fast. They also kept the worksite clean, which matters as all materials had to move through our apartment.

Read More I ultimately went with NY Pavers because I didn't want to have to worry about the workmanship, I could tell they would not cut corners, and I liked the vibe I got from them. Other firms will lowball the estimate and say whatever to get the business (which you will most likely regret later), but Ahmed was very transparent and honest in his assessment of the job, and in the end, quite reasonable. Their level of professionalism from punctuality, follow-through, cleanliness, and honesty are reassuring and refreshing. A pleasure to work with.

I'm happy to report that my pavers look as perfect today as they did 8 months ago. No loose pavers, no cracking, no chipping, no weeds in the joints and no discoloration.

I'm a first-time home buyer and didn't know much about pavers, and Ahmed was the perfect person to work with me. He showed up on time, gave me options and let me know the entire process from ordering the pavers, installation and initial maintenance. You will not find another person in the NYC tri-state area who is more passionate about pavers than Ahmed!

The job was supposed to take 3 days to complete, but the original plan to have the pavers delivered to the front of my house didn't work out. Ahmed re-scheduled the paver delivery and had the truck sit a few blocks away until parking spots opened up in front of my house. Then he had his team work non stop over one very hot weekend and the job was done. All my neighbors were impressed at the fast, professional and clean work.

Pricing was competitive and it was really worth the investment.

Read More our first interaction, New York Pavers were incredibly communicative, transparent, and professional. Ahmed worked closely with us to scope our project and was so detailed and helpful. We had our old pavers ripped out and replaced with new pavers which took only 2.5 days to do. The crew was efficient and friendly -- I was surprised how quick the project was given what others had quoted us -- and left things in immaculate condition once finished (a rarity in my experience.) What's more Ahmed was over-communicative throughout the project and amazing to work with. We were so impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail New York Pavers showed that we immediately asked them to take on another, smaller project in the front of our home. I cannot speak highly enough of the business acumen and professionalism exhibited by New York Pavers but also their kindness throughout the process. Pricing is totally reasonable (if not a steal given the quality of work.) If we could, we'd have Ahmed and the team do all of the pending projects we have around the home!
